WHO CAN APPLY?
The Minor Technology Entrepreneurship is designed to offer ambitious students in science and technology the possibility to engage in a unique learning experience. We only have 30 spots for the next edition, starting September 2016. Before you apply, please check if you fulfill the requirements.
STUDY BACKGROUND CRITERIA
The Minor Technology Entrepreneurship is an integral part of the Bachelor program Science, Business & Innovation (SBI) at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. It is accessible for 3rd-year Bachelor's SBI students.
Bachelor students to be enrolled in a 3rd-year BSc programme and with a minimum of 60 EC (study credits) in Science and Maths can apply.
The previous edition welcomed students from a.o. University College, Artificial Intelligence, Biology, Medical Natural Sciences and IMM (Information, Multimedia & Management).
Examples of other eligible study programs:

Natural sciences, e.g. Physics, Chemistry;

Life sciences, e.g. Pharmaceutical or Biomedical Sciences;

Technology, e.g. Engineering, Molecular Science &
Technology, Nanobiology; -
Computer sciences, e.g. Artificial Intelligence, Informatics;

Interdisciplinary sciences, e.g. Beta-gamma or Natuurwetenschappen & Innovatiemanagement.

STUDY BACKGROUND
PERSONAL PROFILE
We are looking for:
-
Students to be enrolled in a 3rd-year BSc programme;
-
Have the ambition to develop and exploit science-based business opportunities for smaller (e.g. start-ups) or larger organizations;
-
Have an interdisciplinary mindset, which can be obtained through an interdisciplinary study program, participation in courses not related to the core scientific discipline, or by individual entrepreneurial or work experience;
-
Have a strong drive to improve entrepreneurial and interpersonal skills;
-
Are keen to work in small teams and having a high degree of commitment, self-reflection and willingness to improve as a team member.

Please mind that the program has a limit of 30 participants and an ongoing application procedure is in place. You are advised to apply before 15 June.

ENROLLMENT PROCEDURE
Based on the written application you are invited to a personal interview with the coordinator of the minor Technology Entrepreneurship and possibly with another SBI staff member.
During this intake, any questions regarding programme details can be answered. Together with the course coordinator you will explore if the Minor Technology Entrepreneurship really suits your educational background and profile.
If you decide to participate in the programme, the course coordinator will manually enroll you into the programme. Please mind that enrollment is only possible via the course coordinator.
